About two/three months into my Gi training. Spent most the match looking up at the lights from bottom side control lol. Signed up and 3 classes later did a comp. I didn't know anything at all and got caught in a choke pretty fast the fight lasted about 60 seconds 😅😂🤣 well duh lol.My take is, train what YOU enjoy training. Wrestling will make you an overall better grappler physically and technically, but more specifically give you lots of reps competing. Jj training will make you better at jj. You have enough exposure now, imo, to decide what you enjoy doing more and pursue that.
